About The Interlaken Inn

The Interlaken Inn is one of Lake Placid's premier historic Victorian homes.

Built in 1912, the Interlaken Inn is ideally located just steps from the town's quaint shops, Mirror Lake and Placid Lake, in a quiet, residential section of town.

The Interlaken Inn and Restaurant is a short, pleasant walk up Interlaken Avenue. As soon as you enter this boutique Inn, you will fall in love with its gracious and elegant ambiance. Executive Chef Kevin Dunford offers a fairly-priced, creative cuisine with the most natural and local product as possible. The fine wine collection at the Interlaken has earned the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence since 2005. The ambience offered in all dining areas is unparalleled. Dining opportunities range from the intimate and casual pub fare (e.g., the Best crab cakes, beer battered onion rings, hanger steak on focaccia bread and Buffalo shrimp) to a multi-course, wine-paired dinner in one of our dining rooms or porches.

This charming hotel is one of Lake Placid's premier Victorian homes and has 9 lovely rooms, a Carriage House duplex, and an unparalleled restaurant and pub. On a 2004 vacation to Key West, owners Mary Neary and John Arons spotted the work of Dawn Williams whos Adirondack inspired pieces are now featured throughout the hotel. The pieces were designed and created specifically for hanging in the entranceway, living room, hallways, and guest rooms of the Inn.
